• Fabrication hours (if separate rate)

• Metal materials (steel, aluminum, etc.)
• Consumables (wire, rods, gas)
• Shop supplies fee (if used)

• Mobile call-out/service fee
• Travel/mileage

• Disposal fees (if relevant)

• Payment terms and instructions

Welders invoice projects using a few common methods:

1) Hourly labor
Most common for repairs and unpredictable work. Invoice shows hours and rates.

2) Fixed quote
Used for defined fabrication jobs. Invoice shows a project fee and any approved extras.

3) Mixed pricing
Fabrication billed as a project fee plus hourly field installation or repairs.

If you use hourly billing, a “Work type” field and clear line items help clients understand what the hours covered.
